You go into the sauna and I come in with a vessel of HOT SOAPY WATER! Lots of Suds, lots of Hot Water! I scrub you for 15 or 20 minutes, this treatment is very nice!!!
This Spa Treatment known as “Platza” has been done for a thousand years! It has been called “Jewish Acupuncture”! It was originally done in Turkish and Russian Steam Rooms worldwide! The “Platza Specialist” traditionally scrubs you with a “boommade” of fresh oak leaves, sopping with olive oil soap. The oak leaves contain a natural astringent, which will open your pours and remove toxins and actually take off layers of dead skin! Traditional Platza you are beaten with the oak leaf bouquet too!
I use plastic scrunches instead of dried oak leaves; I use fresh scrunches for sanitation reasons and I do not beat the client as in days of old!
Not everyone chooses this treatment but should you….it is a wonderful experience! It really sets the stage and lets the relaxation begin!
